
Alexis Daughtry, “Alex,” became interested in estate law during a law school internship in probate court. She has since been dedicated to this area of law and continues to seek additional opportunities to learn and grow in the field. Alex seeks to understand each client’s unique situation to create an estate plan that reflects the client’s values and goals.
Alex is an editorial board member and contributing writer for “The Mortmain,” a quarterly publication put out by the estate planning and probate section of the Atlanta Bar.
Education
Alex earned her law degree at Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, Alex worked as a graduate assistant and student attorney in the GSU College of Law Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, where she was awarded the Atlanta Bar Foundation Ginny & Kelly Smith Tax Clinic Award for her exemplary service. In addition to working in the clinic, Alex interned in probate court and at a small boutique law firm focused on wills, trusts and estates. She served as Vice President of the Legal Analytics and Innovation Organization, a student organization focused on data analytics and technological innovation in the practice of law and connecting students with opportunities in those fields.
Alex graduated with honors from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.
Personal
Alex moved from Macon to Atlanta to attend law school and has since resided in Cobb County. She enjoys going to estate sales, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
